WORCESTER, Mass. - A Worcester native will appear on a popular game show next week.

Brendan Sargent will be a contestant on Jeopardy! Tuesday night. He says it's always been a dream to be on the show.

And says while he lives in Los Angeles now, he knew he had to represent his home city. 

Sargent said, "I hope that I made Worcester proud. That was my number one goal. They asked if I wanted to be from Los Angeles or from Worcester and I was like ‘No question. If I say I'm from Los Angeles I will be disowned. I will never be allowed back in the city so there’s no question here.’”

The episode will air Tuesday night, March 16 at 7:30 PM. Katie Couric is the guest host.
