CHICOPEE, Mass. - The search for missing 11-year-old Aiden Blanchard of Chicopee moved to Connecticut on Wednesday.

Aiden went missing on February 5 in Chicopee's Willimansett area near the Medina Street Boat Ramp. Police have focused a big part of their search on and around the Connecticut River.

Aiden's mom Michelle Blanchard said she believes her son fell into the water. Chicopee Police public information officer Donna Liszka said that is unconfirmed, but said police will continue their search and rescue efforts.

Michelle said she wants more than anything to bring Aiden home and is making a plea to anyone in the area to keep their eyes open for her son's red coat.

"It has been extremely difficult. His birthday is on Sunday. He would have been 12. It has been an extremely tough week," she said. "So I just want people that are out there, with binoculars, looking for birds, out fishing, anything like that, just be vigilant. Keep your eyes open. He is wearing a red coat, black snow pants, so they can call it in to authorities so they can look at it."

Police said no foul play is suspected. Anyone with any information should contact Chicopee Police Detectives at 413-594-1740.
