WORCESTER, Mass. - Worcester firefighters battled a three-alarm fire in the brutal cold Friday morning.

The flames broke out at a large multi-family house on William Street around 7:30 AM.

The Worcester Fire Department [WFD] says when they arrived the fire was already in the walls.

Deputy Chief Martin Dyer says the fire conditions mixed with the cold temperatures made this a tough one to fight.

Due to temperatures in the low teens, the WFD brought in a bus to use as a warming shelter for firefighters.

There are currently no reports of any injuries or a cause of the fire. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
