Many of us in Massachusetts may not have had a team in the Super Bowl this year.
But one Central Mass fan did.
Allen Erickson has been a die-hard Chiefs fan for more than 50 years.
We caught up with Erickson last year when the Chiefs won their first title since 1970.
Erickson had his Chiefs merchandise on display in his yard and on his house again this year.
Erickson said he became a fan of the Chiefs when his friend hopped on the Raiders bandwagon because of their rivalry.
But after 50 years of no Super Bowl appearances, two appearances in a row was special for him.
He said, "It's awesome. I waited 50 years for last year for the Chiefs to win it. 1970, 71. It took 50 years to come back and I've been holding, waiting. Now I get two years in a row. It's wonderful. The Chiefs got the greatest offense on turf or grass. Whatever you want to call it. Everyone is Tom brady this, Tom Brady that. Mahomes is just a little too fast for him."
Erickson says Tom Brady's time may have come and gone, and thinks retirement may be coming.
