WORCESTER, Mass. - A new mural in a Worcester sports center is showing off some of the city's most prominent landmarks.

The mural can be seen at Worcester's McClain's Training Method Sports Center. It features images like City Hall, George's Coney Island, and Union Station.

It was painted by Dominique McClain, son of MTM owner Diago McClain.

They also included Black Lives Matter artwork in the piece.

Diago grew up in Worcester and says he told himself he would have a mural to remind him where he’s from if he ever opened a gym.

Diago McClain said, "It just reminds me where I come from. That was basically the thought behind it. All my life, I love basketball. And I love my city. I love my community. So putting that in here, right when I walk through the door it reminds me of where I came from and what I'm serving with these kids.

Dominique said, "Just from talking to people complimenting the piece, it brings  joy to them just to see certain memories that they had with the pieces like the train station, City Hall or Coney Island, for example."

Artist Mary Nugent painted the Black Lives matter portions of the piece. She said, "I've been around everyone who's standing up for this movement, I think its super important for the kids in this gym to know about that movement as well."

McClain says they plan to paint more Worcester-themed murals on the walls of his fitness center.
