WORCESTER, Mass. - From now until January 16, the Habitat ReStore will be hosting a clothing drive for to support Habitat for Humanity Metro West/Greater Worcester.
On Sunday, the Restore on Lincoln Street collected gently used winter clothing, shoes, bedding, and other items.
They’ve almost filled a trailer, but intend to fill a Habitat for Humanity truck with the donations.
The donations will be brought to Savers' thrift store in Worcester where they will receive cash per pound from the soft textiles.
The hope is to raise $2,500 which can be used to build homes.
Habitat for Humanity board member Julie Bowditch said, “We saw a need that people needed to get things out of their house. They spent the year trapped inside and reorganizing or purging and there weren't a lot of places that were accepting things. So we figured we could turn that into cash for Habitat."

Habitat for Humanity will be accepting donations on Saturday, January 16 in the parking lot of Restore at 640 Lincoln St. from 9 AM to 11 AM.
