With the holidays quickly approaching and many of us at home, we're sharing some simple recipes our team at Spectrum News 1 enjoys this time of year.
In our third installment of Holidays at Home, our Katie Benoit shares her recipe for turkey bow tie soup.

Ingredients
- 3lb of Chicken or Turkey
- 1 Onion
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 Cup of Chopped Celery
- 3 Large Chopped Carrots (Or Half a Package of Chopped Baby Carrots)
- Bow Tie Pasta
Directions
- First, cook the 3lb of chicken or turkey.
- Then, fill a large pan with 3/4 of water.
- Add the chopped up onion to water and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Next, add salt and pepper to your taste.
- Add 1 cup of chopped celery and the carrots to water.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes.
- Then, chop up the fully cooked chicked or turkey.
- Finally, add the meat and bow tie pasta to the water and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until tender.
- Enjoy!
