WORCESTER, Mass. - Hundreds of kids in Central Massachusetts will now have toys for Christmas thanks in part to a local film production.

A recently filmed production featured a few scenes inside of a recreated toy store.

Once finished, two truckloads of toys were donated to Westerman's Restaurant Equipment and Prop House.

Westerman's also collected toys from the public to add to Saturday's toy drive.

Worcester Police, Veteran's Inc., and several other local service agencies were able to distribute thousands of toys, bikes, and games to 500 pre-selected children in need this holiday season.

Organizers describe Saturday's toy drive as a huge success.

It was set up drive-thru style in an effort to follow safe covid-19 protocols.
