SUTTON, Mass. - It’s all smiles and waves for Republican couple, Ryan and Stephanie Fattman, on Wednesday, as they thank people driving through Sutton for voting. Some cars beeped and drivers waved back.

‘“We have kind of an ongoing deal with ourselves to come out and just thank our community and to thank the voters. We are just so proud to have the support and without our community and people voting and people really believing in us we wouldn't have these victories,” Stephanie Fattman said.

Stephanie Fattman won her first reelection bid for Worcester County Register of Probate. While Ryan Fattman won his fourth term in the Massachusetts State Senate, representing the 18th Worcester district.

Ryan Fattman said, “This is the first time I have won every town in my district. State senate districts, especially when you're in the minority, aren't the easiest to carry every single town and I am very proud of that. "

Fattman says an issue he's focused on during this term is conquering COVID-19.

"We want society to go back to normalcy and get our economy roaring, support businesses, get kids back to school in a safe productive way,” Senator Fattman said.

As the couple prepares to continue serving, they say the hope their thank you tradition helps people feel grateful to be Americans.

"I sure hope people are encouraged to just believe in local politics and their community and the good work that we can do,” Stephanie Fattman said..”I oversee the court system and that matters. So we are hoping people are encouraged by that and that they are inspired by that. "
