WORCESTER, Mass. — A faith based emergency shelter typically open on nights when temperatures fell below freezing will now be open every night until March 31.
Hotel Grace in Worcester is now located at 44 Vernon Street and will be open every night.
Net of Compassion also opened their shower program, which will run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"We knew a lot of people closed their shower services for the homeless community due to COVID-19 and the capacity of space in buildings. So, through the Net of Compassion and Hotel Grace, we saw the need, and we decided to get a shower and provide showers for the community," said Pastor Richie Gonzalez, founder of Hotel Grace.
Hotel Grace opened in 2016 when the city asked for an overflow shelter for the winter months.
