The Worcester Bravehearts are teaming up with a local business to set up an after school program. Even though the baseball season is over, the Bravehearts are still hard at work.

They are partnering with Recess in West Boylston to give students an opportunity to safely get away from their computer screens and let loose.

Bravehearts General Manager Dave Peterson says the kids will have plenty of space to socially distance inside the 20,000 square foot facility. He says the idea came from a teacher and parent of a former player.

“She said you know where you guys could fill a need is helping out these parents whose kids having nothing to do in the afternoon. Imagine your kid sitting at a kitchen table from eight o'clock till two o'clock starring at a computer doing their classes, doing their homework and then losing out on things like socialization with their classmates” says Peterson.

The program costs $35 a day. You can sign up for one day or for the whole week. They plan to run the program until the end of December.
