Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has updated the COVID-19 restrictions for restaurants.

Beginning Monday, restaurants will be allowed to use bar seating for food service, with social distancing measures in place.

Group seating at tables indoor and outdoors will be expanded from six to 10 people.

Governor Baker says there should be no lingering around the bar. The new guidelines still do not allow for night clubs or bars that don’t serve food to open.
