Jessika Rozki was a school bus driver in Chicopee for 15 years. Rozki said she loved meeting the kids and watching them grow up.

"I truly love the whole impact of being a school bus driver and dealing with the kids to transporting them safe to school," Rozki said.

She decided to step away from her career and take her skills with her to start her own business. Her business is called "Rozki Rides."

"We help support parents with transportation for your kids," said Rozki. "So we are like caregivers on wheels."

The service takes kids to and from school, appointments, and child care. The service can take kids anywhere their parents need them to go. Rozki provides text updates to let parents know when the child has made it safely or has been picked up.

Rozki said this service can provide children with reliable transportation that won't put their health on the line. In order to keep everyone safe, drivers and passengers must be wearing a mask and seatbelts must be worn at all times.

"The vehicles, boosters, carseats, everything is sanitized, and it will bring parents a whole lot of confidence knowing their child is in great hands," said Rozki.

Aside from keeping kids safe during the pandemic, other safety measures are taken. All drivers are fully trained and fully insured. They are CORI checked, SORI checked, and fingerprinted by FBI. Drivers must have a clean driving record and at least five years of child care experience.

"It's not just anybody driving your kids around," said Rozki. "It's definitely someone we are making sure their background is completely secure and safe for your kids to ride in."

From her time as a bus driver, she knows having a relationship with the kids is important. This is why her son, Omar Velez, plans to get certified too and help his mom out with her business.

"I've always been that leader figure and I've always wanted to preach to children, they have a better life ahead of you so if they have that driver in the seat that not only just transports them, but talks to them and preaches to them as much as they possibly can, it's going to go a long way and change kids' lives and that is exactly what I want to do," said Velez.

He went on to say how proud he is of his mom and can't wait to see her business take off. Rozki Rides can be reached at 413-314-3154.
