WORCESTER - The Worcester County District Courthouse is closed Wednesday and Thursday after a courthouse employee tests positive for COVID-19.

District Attorney Joseph Early, Jr. made the announcement on social media Tuesday night, saying it will be disinfected over these two days and will reopen Friday, June 19.

Courts were closed in mid-March due to COVID-19 concerns and have only been open to some essential employees since then. They are expected to reopen to the public on July 1.
