SUTTON - The state's Department of Conservation and Recreation [DCR] implemented new guidelines at Purgatory Chasm in Sutton on Saturday.

In an effort to promote social distancing, a one-way trail will be used at the state reservation to reduce close contact between trail users.

Each trail will be marked clearly with signage to direct visitors.

Other parks across the state were forced to closed on Saturday for at least two hours due to the park reaching its maximum safe number of visitors. Many people were outside, taking a break form their homes and enjoying the warm and sunny weather.
