WORCESTER  - Some in Worcester's Tatnuck-area neighborhoods say leaves on their streets weren't cleaned up last fall due to early snow.

City Councilor At-Large Moe Bergman is hoping to make good on the city service for those residents.

Ahead of this week's City Council meeting, Bergman is requesting DPW Commissioner Paul Moosey to add leaf pick-up to the annual spring street sweeping program in neighborhoods that were affected by early snowstorms last fall.

As Spectrum News 1 reported, fall leaf pick-up continued in the city through early December.

Worcester's DPW is responsible for clearing 500 miles of streets.
