WORCESTER - The City of Worcester reported 11 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. The total is now 86 in the city.

There's been more than a 550% increase in the last seven days.

"We expect these numbers to continue to rise in the weeks ahead. It's safe to assume that these number would've been bigger and more overwhelming, had we not all been doing our part to do the social distancing, the shutdowns, the things that are very disruptive to our economy and our everday lives, but really are critical to making this number 86 and not 860," City Manager Ed Augustus said.
