CHICOPEE - Many people find themselves wondering what they are going to do while spending more time at home, but not Jennifer Jones.

"Move your furniture, dance in your living room, your kitchen, just keep moving and have fun,” Jones told Spectrum News 1.

Although she's been dancing for 11 years, Jones only became a line dance instructor two years ago. She has always enjoyed dancing and sharing it with others.

"She got me started seven years ago so I could dance at her wedding, said Gail Dobosz, who goes to second Baptist Church in South Hadley for Jones’ classes she teaches.

"I don't charge because I feel it’s important for people to get out, have fun and learn this,” said Jones. “When I mess up, I just say 'That’s why you pay me the big bucks.' "

But now with businesses, schools and churches closed, Jones and Dobosz bring those moves to the web. They Facebook live their sessions and allow people to learn the basics from their own home.

"The most challenging part?,” said Dobosz. “Probably remembering some of the dances."

Jones also said in line dancing there’s always a bad wall. “You’ll turn, you'll start dancing, and your brain will forget the entire dance," Jones said.

Spectrum News 1 reporter Valerie Bell tried joining in for a dance and found out quickly that Jones was right about everyone having a bad wall.

And even while adapting to teaching line dancing from her living room instead of in a big group setting, Jones is finding nothing really changes.

"It’s exactly what we do in church. We laugh. We have fun,” said Jones. “There are no mistakes.”
