PITTSFIELD - The Berkshire Museum was recognized by the arts network Ovation and by Spectrum at a special event on Friday night.
The museum received the Stand for the Arts award and $10,000.
Stand for the Arts is a national initiative to raise awareness, protect access and encourage action on behalf of the arts.
The museum said they're actively working to create new, engaging experiences for the community.
Berkshire Museum's Executive Director, Jeff Rodgers, said, "We are thrilled and honored to receive the award this year. They're recognizing the work we do in the community to encourage involvement in the arts."
Stand for the Arts will give $120,000 to support arts education in 12 of Charter Spectrum markets across the country.
