WORCESTER - A Massachusetts man living with autism read his book to a Worcester audience on Saturday.

Reece Arnold read his new book, Mike's Big Space Adventure, at Worcester Autism Resource Central.

Arnold's book tells the story of a young boy who loves astronomy. Arnold said he has always been interested in Space and wanted to put his creative thoughts onto paper. Arnold and his mother say they want the book to motivate others living with autism, showing them they can do anything they put their mind to.

Andrea Arnold said, "If they like writing, do that. If they like painting, do that. Reece also likes music and he's gone to do quite a few things with that, too. So we just want to inspire everyone."

Director of HMEA Autism Resource Central Susan Loring said, "We've moved beyond awareness to acceptance. Because people with autism are out in the community among us and people need to know and understand the challenges people with autism face."

On Saturday, Senator Michael Moore was the guest reader of Arnold's book.
