HUDSON, Mass. - The American Heritage Museum in Hudson is displaying their reenactment of the Saipan Campaign from World War II this weekend.
The Saipan Campaign was a pivotal battle in the Second World War that took place between June 15 and July 9, 1944.
The battle resulted in significant casualties on both sides.
The United States would eventually win the battle, gain control of Saipan and pave the way for following offensives in the Pacific.
Infantry representing American and Japanese forces, and camps with authentic gear and appearance, were a part of the reenactment.
Events continue Sunday at the museum with more demonstrations including a World War II flamethrower and tank rides.
