LOUISVILLE, Ky. ⁠— Kroger's Louisville Division, which includes Kroger and Jay C stores across Kentucky, southern Indiana and southern Illinois, announced new hours for senior and at-risk shoppers in addition to expanding store hours.

The new hours go into effect the week of June 1 with 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. or 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. (based on individual hours of operation) each Wednesday reserved for seniors over 60 and high-risk individuals as defined by the CDC.

“Our senior shoppers have reached out to let us know how important these designated hours are to them,” said Erin Grant, manager of corporate affairs for Kroger’s Louisville Division. “We encourage all customers to respect these special hours as we work to protect our more vulnerable community members.”

The expanded store hours will vary; however, most Kroger locations will open at 6 a.m. and close at 11 p.m. or midnight. Most Jay C stores will open at 7 a.m. and close between 10 p.m. and midnight.
