LEXINGTON, Ky. — A nonprofit in Lexington made up of medical students, young professionals and college students is now collecting donations to help feed frontline workers.

Feed the Front Line is a national organization, and in April, students in Lexington decided to start a chapter in Kentucky.

The group is reaching out to community members for donations to help pay for meals for front line workers. Once the donations are collected, they partner with local restaurants in the area to distribute the meals.

“As well as the hospital workers, they're still going to be dealing with this for months to come. Maybe even a year or two, so we definitely want to keep on operating as long as we possibly can, as long as there's a need for us,” said Brian Zhu, a member of Feed the Front Line Kentucky.

As of right now, the Kentucky group has delivered over 1,000 meals to health care workers and raised over $15,000.
