LOUISVILLEKy. — After being closed for two-months, businesses across Kentucky will reopen Wednesday, albeit, under a range of guidelines.

What You Need To Know

  • Stores across Kentucky can open Wednesday

  • Restaurants will open Friday

  • Both at 33% occupancy

“And we hope people will rejoice we are back open…” Paul Kinzer said Tuesday. Kinzer is a long-time employee of Bonnycastle Appliance & TV on Bardstown Road.

“Officially the showroom is open for customers 9:00 AM tomorrow until 7:00 PM. We are going to back on regular hours,” Kinzer explains.

Regular hours, yes but the number of customers will be limited to 33% capacity. It’s the same guideline for restaurants as Kentucky eateries are set to open their dining rooms on Friday.

Before Bonnycastle opens Knizer says staff will add social distancing markers to the floor and they’ve already set out bottles of hand sanitizer and cans of spray Lysol.

“We are going to require everyone have a mask when they come in,” he continued. If customers do not have a mask Kinzer says they’ll likely be able to provide one.

“We’re kind of anxious to see how the rest of the week fairs, and hopefully we’ll have people back in.”

A mile down Bardstown Road in Louisville, a manager at Guitar Emporium says they’ll be opening at 10 AM Wednesday and may limit the number of shoppers to five or six at a time and ask them to keep their visit to fifteen minutes or less.
