LOUISVILLE, Ky. - You can travel the world without even leaving Louisville this weekend. WorldFest, the region's largest international festival, returns to the Belvedere.

This marks the 17th year of the event that offers international food, music, crafts, culture and education.

There will be more than 150 vendors. 40 of those are food vendors offering up cuisine from countries around the world.

There will also be more than 70 local and regional entertainers on hand this weekend to offer a variety of music and dance styles.

The event aims to celebrate diversity in Louisville.

"Cities that embrace and encourage its international citizens and cultures will thrive, have a stronger quality of life and will attract new job growth," mayor Greg Fischer said.

Admission to WorldFest is free all four days. The event runs through Monday. There is a complete schedule available on the event page.
