1. Yum Brands CEO announces plans to retire in 2026

David Gibbs became Yum Brands' CEO in Jan. 2020 and navigated the company through the pandemic and the bumpy years that followed. He is a 36-year veteran of the company. 

2. Waterway protections bill passes. Environmental advocates react

Senate Bill 89, which is now law, redefines what are considered waters of the Commonwealth.

3. In Lithuania, 3 U.S. soldiers found dead in armored vehicle; 1 still missing

The Army said the soldiers were on a tactical training exercise when they and their vehicle were reported missing early Tuesday.

4. Four new portraits added to 'Kentucky Women Remembered' exhibit in Frankfort

Civil rights activist Alberta Jones, poet laureate Ada Limón, author Kim Michele Richardson and sculptor Amanda Matthews were honored.
