The final rounds of rain are starting to exit.
Eastern Kentucky was overwhelmed with rain Wednesday night as more than 6 inches fell in some places.
These are some of the rainfall amounts from that particular bout of rain:
- Hazard: 8.98"
- Buckhorn: 8.58"
- Oneida: 7.20"
- Sassafras: 6.80"
- Wiscoal: 6.50"
- Pippa Passes: 5.69"
A Flood Watch is still in effect across most of central and eastern Kentucky until this afternoon or evening.
A few showers may still develop into the late-morning and early afternoon hours.
Most activity begins to fade away by the evening and we will settle into a drier pattern with no additional rain showers.
Skies become clearer tonight, leading to calm conditions.
