Our soggy pattern continues for the second half of the weekend as scattered thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening across Kentucky. With a very saturated ground from recent days of rain, additional heavy rain today and tonight may result in flash flooding in those areas that are prone. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for most of central and eastern Kentucky until midnight EDT Monday.
Temperatures on Sunday will top out in the upper 70s to lower 80s. However, the high humidity will make it feel warmer and very muggy.
For Monday, showers will be possible, especially in the eastern half of the Commonwealth. A cold front will be sweeping through the during the day, and will finally put an end to this long stretch of soggy weather by Monday night.
