There was a boundary in place this morning across Northern KY, and it sparked some spotty showers. That boundary will continue moving north as a warm front, and the HEAT WILL BE ON across KY today.  A warm SW wind plus an Upper Level Ridge of High Pressure will lead to highs around 90° for many areas across the state today and tomorrow.  Louisville's Record High for today is 92°, and there's a good chance that record will be tied today.  Also, in many cities, today will be the warmest day of the year thus far if 90°+ temps are reached.  Heat indices could reach the Mid 90s both days.  Don't count on much rain relief...only spotty showers are possible through tomorrow (although N. KY could have a few additional showers today).

Sunday, a cold front will move closer to the Ohio River...then stall just north of it.  However, it'll be close enough to spark a few additional showers/storms for areas along & north of I-64 through the afternoon.  There will also be a small Marginal Risk (level 1 out of 5) for severe storms that could have damaging wind.  So, Sunday is the umbrella day...and make sure to stay weather aware.  It'll also be a tad cooler Sunday due to more clouds/showers and the previously mentioned upper level ridge of high pressure breaking down a bit.

Monday, Memorial Day, the upper ridge will build back into our area.  So, we're expecting a continuation of HOT weather for the holiday.  However, there will be an upper level disturbance riding the northern perimeter of the ridge...and it could trigger some additional afternoon showers. A wash-out...No. However, plan on some PM showers for Memorial Day.

Tuesday looks dry and HOT with low 90s. Then, a cold front moves in and crosses our area Wednesday night...bringing storms and COOLER weather in its wake. So, temps will be near 80° by Thursday.
