A few showers will be likely in far southeast Kentucky this morning with more widespread showers moving in to the Commonwealth late this afternoon and evening.  It will be a fairly cool day with temperatures only topping out in the 60s to near 70 for highs.  Winds will be fairly light out of the east-northeast, further helping to keep temperatures cool.  The best chances for rain will be after 5 PM this evening, with those chances increasing through the early evening.  A few rumbles of thunder are possible, but severe weather is not expected.

For Mother’s Day, a few showers may linger during the morning hours, but should depart by the midday hours.  However, some showers may stay around longer in the far southeastern sections of Kentucky, near Lake Cumberland.  Cool conditions will remain with highs in the 60s again for most areas.
