Widespread showers and storms continue in central and eastern Kentucky through midday on Friday.  However, relatively drier conditions are expected for the second half of the day.  Only spotty showers will be possible during the afternoon across Kentucky.

Tonight, skies are expected to remain mainly cloudy as temperatures drop into the upper 50s to middle 60s from north to south across the region.  Dry conditions should continue until early on Saturday morning when a new round of rain and possible thunderstorms moves into the Commonwealth from the southwest.  Those showers will likely move into the Louisville area by the mid-morning hours at the latest.  Rain is likely to continue for most of the day, making for another very soggy year for the Kentucky Derby.
