Rain will mainly be affecting areas near and east of I-65 through the early morning on Friday.  Showers will continue to push east through midday and should be out of the Commonwealth by the early afternoon.  After the rain ends, clouds will begin to decrease, leading to mostly sunny skies for some.  This will especially be the case in central and western parts of Kentucky.  It’ll be a cooler day today with temperatures only topping out in the 60s for most.

For tonight’s Balloon Glow in Louisville, we are expecting clear and dry conditions.  The only possible concern will be breezy winds lingering into the setup of the balloons.  However, the overall trend is for the winds today to be subsiding this evening.

For the weekend, expect cool and crisp start on Saturday morning, with clouds increasing around midday.  By the afternoon a few showers will be possible.  Temperatures will be similar to today for highs.  On Sunday clouds decrease for a slightly cooler but dry second half to the weeend.
