LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Visitors to the Louisville Zoo will get the chance to hear from acclaimed dinosaur expert and author "Dino" Don Lessem Saturday, July 10.

Lessem will answer questions and talk about the Zoo's Dino Quest exhibit. He will have two public presentations at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the MetaZoo stage. 

Lessem worked with film director Steven Spielberg on the original "Jurassic Park" movie and has also worked with Universal Studios and Disney theme parks. But animatronics isn't his only passion, Lessem has written 40 children's books including encyclopedias for National Geographic, Random House and Scholastic. The dinosaur expert has also hosed NOVA documentaries and written documentaries for the Discovery Channel. Lessem has excavated and assembled some of the largest dinosaurs in the world including the 110-foot-long, plant-eating Argentinosaurus and the 45-foot-long, meat-eating Gigantosaurus. 

Dino Quest presented by Great Clips runs through Sept. 19 and features 21 life-size robotic dinosaurs. This exhibit is the world’s largest, most lifelike robotic dinosaur exhibit.
