Duke men's basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski will retire after the next season, according to reporters with Stadium and ESPN.

Coach K, as he's called, has led the Blue Devils for 41 seasons, according to the university.

Krzyzewski has led the team to the Final Four 12 times, and they won the national championship five times.

The announcement comes two months after North Carolina coach Roy Williams announced his retirement.

Stadium reporter Jeff Goodman, who first reported the retirement, said, Duke assistant coach Jon Scheyer is in line to take over as head coach.

Krzyzewski took over as the head coach for Duke men's basketball in 1980.
