LOUISVLLE, Ky. — With fewer than a handful of games left in the regular season, Louisville men's basketball coach Chris Mack has been named to the 2020 Werner Ladder Naismith Coach of the Year list.

In only his second season with the Cards, Mack has taken No. 11/11 Louisville to a 22-5 record and a 13-3 ACC record, which has the Cardinals atop the league standings with four games left in the regular season.  This is Louisville's best start in six years and most the most conference wins for the Cards in their six years in the ACC.  This is just the fourth time in Louisville history that the Cards have remained ranked in the top 13 of the Associated Press poll through the first 16 polls of the season (also 1966-676, 1974-75, 2012-13,; the 1966-67 poll was only 15 weeks total).

The only other ACC coach on the list is Florida State's Leonard Hamilton.  The full list of late season watch list coaches are:
