LEXINGTON, Ky. -Big Blue Nation got to see one of their favorites in a different light. Kentucky Wildcat fans usually saw Isaac Humphries on the hardwood, but this time they got to experience his musical talents at the Lexington Opera House.

“As long as I can remember, I loved music and loved singing,” said Humphries. “But, when basketball came along, I put it on the backseat.”

Humphries said he looks to find the right balance of music and basketball. The former UK forward came off his first NBA stint this past season with the Atlanta Hawks.

Sunday night he returned to Lexington for a benefit concert. The proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charity.

“it was a shame I didn’t get to help out while I was here at school, but I’m so grateful and honored to come back to put a show on like this and raise money for them,” said Humphries.

The crowd wore plenty of UK blue polos. The concert was another way Humphries found to say thank you to the fans that supported him throughout the years.
