LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Racing Louisville FC has mutually parted ways with general manager Ryan Dell, according to a release from the club.
The team said Dell is pursuing another job in the soccer industry. He served two years as Racing Louisville's first general manager, hiring head coach Bev Yanez.
Dell also played a role in helping Lynn Family Stadium secure a U.S. Women's National Team game, the team's first visit in 20 years.
“We appreciate Ryan’s effort and contributions over the past two seasons,” said John Neace, chairman of Soccer Holdings, Racing Louisville's parent company. “While we fell just short of our goal of making the NWSL playoffs this year, Ryan departs having helped us establish a core group of players who will be competitive in 2025 and beyond."
"Along with the coaching staff, they promise to make next season an exciting one for us. We wish Ryan the very best in his next career move. He has a bright future.”
The team added it plans to move quickly in hiring its next general manager. National Women's Soccer League free agency opens Tuesday, Dec. 10.
Racing Louisville FC ended the 2024 campaign 7-12-7 for 28 points, its fourth since starting play as an NWSL expansion team in 2021. The club finished ninth in the league standings and missed the playoffs by four points.
