  •  Norton West Louisville Hospital had its grand opening

  •  This is the first hospital in west Louisville in over 150 years

  •  Hospital staff members and the community understand the significance of the opening of this hospital

This is the first time west Louisville has had a hospital in over 150 years.

“This community has needed and been asking for access to care like we are providing for generations,” said Laura Wright, the manager of emergency services.

The hospital will employ over 350 people.

“I think it’s very exciting for the community because we are offering so many services close to their home,” said Tammy Pasko, a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Staff members and the surrounding community know the significance of this three-year project coming to fruition.

“A lot of us sometimes don’t even have the accessibility to get from the West End maybe to Downtown to see those doctors so having something that may be at walking distance or maybe a little bit closer of a drive or distance to get dropped off or something like that, I think it’s awesome and it’ll help everybody,” said Jesstin Devoe, a patient who stopped by the hospital on opening day.

The hospital offers primary care for both adults and children. Specialty services are also available.
