LEBANON, Ky. — Kentucky State Police (KSP) announced the arrest of a 16-year-old male teenager charged with terroristic threatening in Lebanon for a threat to Marion County High School on Sunday night.

In a news release, KSP said it was contacted by the Lebanon Police Department, requesting help to investigate the threat to the school. The teenager was arrested and charged with terroristic threatening in the first degree. He is being transported to a local juvenile detention center.

The case it still being investigated by KSP, who said it “thoroughly investigates all reported threats of school violence regardless of context or intent.” Troopers encouraged parents to speak with their children about the danger of posting threatening messages on social media and reporting any concerning information they may come across online.
