KENTUCKY — On today’s program, we’re sitting down one-on-one with Gov. Andy Beshear, D-Ky.

On Monday, Aug. 12, after weeks of speculation, Vice President Kamala Harris announced Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate on the 2024 Democratic presidential ticket to challenge Republican nominees Donald Trump and J.D. Vance.

During this segment, Beshear discusses his excitement about being considered in the running mate selection process by the Harris campaign.

“Well, it is an honor. I mean, how many people in their lives are vetted for to be a potential running mate, a potential vice president, running mate? But what I love, and one of the reasons I went into it, is the amount of positive attention that Kentucky got. We’re talking about hundreds upon hundreds of millions of free advertising for the Commonwealth of Kentucky,” said Beshear.
