AAA said the national average for a gallon of gasoline has remained steady over the past week at $3.44. Increased supplies have helped stabilize pump prices despite a slow rise in demand. The national average is 16 cents lower than a month ago and 13 cents lower than a year ago, AAA added.

West Texas Intermediate rose by 60 cents at the close of the June 20 formal trading session, settling at $82.17 a barrel. AAA said, per the Energy Information Administration, that crude oil inventories decreased by 2.5 million barrels from the previous week, and lower crude inventories and geopolitical tensions have contributed to higher crude prices.
