KENTUCKY — AARP has a long history of non-partisan voter education and engagement, providing voters with information on the voting process as well as where the candidates stand on issues important to Americans 50 and over and their families, so they can make informed decisions on Election Day.

Gary W. Adkins, volunteer president for AARP Kentucky joins this ‘In Focus Kentucky’ segment to share some reminders voters should know in advance of casting ballots, including that all registered voters can vote early in person with an absentee ballot at designated locations from Thursday, May 16, through Saturday, May 18. No excuse is needed.

Polls will be open on primary day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (local time). Voters must bring a photo ID. Ballots may still be cast without one, but it requires additional paperwork. For more information, visit elect.ky.gov.
