KENTUCKY — During this segment, State Rep. Matt Koch, R-Paris, joins this program to share his legislative work serving on the House Veterans, Military Affairs and Public Protection Committee. Koch also explains about his time as a member in the United States Marine Corps from 2000 to 2004.

Kentucky is home to 295,000 veterans, and it is the mission of the legislature to ensure every one of them, along with their families, receive the services and care they are owed because of the sacrifices they made serving our nation. In 1998, the Kentucky General Assembly established the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs (KDVA). The state agency has provided resources and other support services ever since.
