On Aug. 16, a federal grand jury in Louisville charged 34 Louisville and Southern Indiana residents in four indictments. The indictments cover crimes the defendants allegedly committed dating back to 2021.
Their charges include conspiracy to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine — possession of a firearm while committing a crime — and distributing fentanyl.
The defendants face a minimum sentence of 10 to 35 years and a maximum of life in prison.
The 26 people who were arrested Tuesday will have their first court appearance either Tuesday night or Wednesday, Aug. 30.
