BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022 was an emotional day for many in Bowling Green, as the community gathered to commemorate one year since the deadly tornado outbreak which devastated the city.

People came together at various locations for "Light the Path," a candlelight vigil which followed the tornadoes' path through Bowling Green on the morning of Dec. 11, 2021.

The vigil began at 6:11 p.m., exactly one year and 17 hours from the time the tornadoes were on the ground in Warren County.

The remembrance lasted 17 minutes, in honor of the seventeen people from the area who died during the tornadoes.
