KENTUCKY — It's bowl season in the Bluegrass and three of Kentucky's football programs are going bowling this year. Selection Sunday on Dec. 4 unveiled the bowls and matchups for Kentucky, Louisville and Western Kentucky's final games of the season.

Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats (7-5) are headed to the Transperfect Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tenn, for a New Yea'rs Eve matchup against the Iowa Hawkeyes (7-5). This is a rematch of last year's Vrbo Citrus Bowl, where Kentucky prevailed 20-17 and finished 10-3 on the season. The Cats are no strangers to the Music City Bowl as this will be their sixth appearance in the bowl. The timing of the game presents a great challenge for fans — the men's basketball team faces archrival Louisville at noon on the same day. Here's where you can find Music City Bowl tickets.

After a somewhat promising season, Scott Satterfield and the Louisville Cardinals (7-5) are shipping up to Boston for the innaugural Wasabi Fenway Bowl on Dec. 17, where they will face the Cincinnati Bearcats (9-3). The game will be played in Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. The Cardinals and Bearcats have a history, with Cincinnati leading the series 30-22-1. Louisville is looking to show some forward momentum for their program after last year's loss to Air Force in the First Responders Bowl left them with a losing record. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (8-5) will head south for the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl to face South Alabama (10-2). WKU quarterback has led an explosive offense this season, passing for 4,249 yards (second in the nation) and 36 touchdowns. The Hilltoppers are playing in their ninth bowl in the last 11 seasons.
