LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Lexington Legends have been sold to a development company from Tennessee, owner and president Andy Shea said Friday.

Shea confirmed that Nathan and Keri Lyons have bought all assets related to the Legends, including Wild Health Field and its real estate. Shea owned the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball team for several years after moving to Lexington in 2005.
"This has been a remarkable 18 years in Lexington and with the Legends," Shea wrote on Facebook. "I am proud of everything this organization accomplished."
The Legends' new owners are Nathan and Keri Lyons, who own Vintage South Development, a residential development company based in Nashville.
The game of baseball has been instrumental in Lyons’ life, according to a press release from the ALPB. Lyons heralded Lexington as a great sports town and looked forward to continuing its "winning tradition."
“Today is an exciting day for our family,” said Lyons. “Our commitment to the City of Lexington and surrounding areas will allow us to offer a best-in-class fan experience."
Shea will now focus his time and energy on the Charleston Dirty Birds of the ALPB, where he will continue in his role as President & CEO.
