LEXINGTON, Ky. — We are less than a month away from Keeneland’s Fall Meet and two months from the Breeders’ Cup World Championships in Lexington. Both events draw thousands to the Commonwealth for the races.

At Keeneland, that means there are many seasonal employment opportunities available.

What You Need To Know

  • Keeneland’s hiring events will happen throughout the month of September

  • They’re looking to fill 40 positions

  • Open positions include server assistant, clubhouse, parking attendant, concession stands workers and more

  • Hiring events will be held on the second-floor Grandstand

Keeneland is kicking off their 2022 Fall hiring series with hiring events throughout the month of September. On Saturday, Sept. 17, a Job Fair will happen from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second-floor Grandstand.

Plus, every Tuesday and Thursday until Sept. 29, Keeneland will have its Hiring Center open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. That will also be on the second-floor Grandstand near the Paddock.

Tiffany McDonald, Assistant Director of HR at Keeneland, says the jobs are entry level and don’t require any formal training.

“You walk in, you can look at all the job openings and apply for those jobs, go through the interviewing process and usually it’s hired on the spot. Then you’ll go through the HR paperwork and all the things we need from you to get started and get into our system,” McDonald said.

Keeneland is looking to fill 40 positions this fall. The positions available include server assistant in their dining rooms, concession stands, clubhouse, parking attendants and more.

“Customer service is really what we’re known for and we’re a part of that. Becoming a Keeneland employee is so much more than just becoming an employee. You’re becoming a part of something that’s so cool, and that’s so interesting, so different and unique,” said McDonald.

Besides Keeneland’s Fall openings, they’ll have a Volunteer Group Program. This program will allow Greek life, high school booster clubs and charitable organizations to take part in Fall Meet and Breeders’ Cup activities.

Interested job applicants should bring two forms of identification to the hiring events. All applicants can apply here.
