CINCINNATI — For their season opener on Sunday, the Cincinnati Bengals will welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Jungle, although it now goes by a new name.
Paycor Stadium is sure to be packed with fans of the defending AFC Champions, and that's why Bengals officials shared a few new developments and things fans should expect at home games this season.
Upgraded Wi-Fi
Fans at the 65,000+ capacity stadium can utilize the new fiber-enabled Wi-Fi network. Joining "FreeJungleWifi" will provide a "more connected gameday experience" thanks to over 1,600 strategically placed access points throughout the stadium, officials said.
New name, same game
After the Bengals expanded their partnership with Paycor, fans and visitors alike will see a lot of Paycor Stadium branding as part of the naming rights deal. It may technically have a new designation, but fans will always know it as The Jungle.
There are also two new gate entrances at Paycor Stadium. What was once "Gate B" has been renamed the altafiber Northwest Gate. The gate known as "Gate C" has also been renamed, now known as Betfred Northeast Gate.
Mobile ticketing
Mobile tickets can scan their phones at pedestals, in a gate entry feature that's new this season. Officials said the new ticket scanning hardware will simplify the entry and navigation process.
The Bengals encourage all fans utilize mobile ticketing by adding tickets to their phones' digital wallets to streamline entry and avoid connection issues. You can find more information on all things ticketing here.
Pregame at the Banks
The official, free pregame tailgating location has been changed to The Banks, found on Freedom Way between Race Street and Joe Nuxhall Way. Festivities including music, food, drinks and games begin at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The Bengals host the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11. You can watch the game on CBS or listen live via the Bengals Radio Network.
