LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Derby winner Rich Strike will try to win the Belmont Stakes Saturday, June 11, but for the next year, the Kentucky Derby Museum will highlight his win at Churchill Downs.

Visitors to the museum can relive the amazing come-from-behind victory at Derby 148 in the Museum’s 18-minute move, The Greatest Race. They captured the pageantry and spectacle of the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby and visitors can see it all on the Museum’s 360° high definition screen.

The lobby of the Museum also got a facelift with a banner made of pictures of the Rich Strike team. The Museum captured the unveiling in a time-lapse video. 

The Winner’s Circle exhibit is also getting updated. The Museum said in a release the final touches are being added to the first floor display, which is a favorite spot for guests to take pictures. Michael Prather, a local artist, is airbrushing the replica horse to look exactly like Rich Strike, including the white blaze on the horse’s face and the white socks on its hind feet.
